McKenna criticizes a picture in my classroom

When students finish the high-stakes testing for the year, the atmosphere at my school becomes much, much more relaxed.


So relaxed, in fact, that a student flew a remote control helicopter into a sprinkler head. Anyway, in the slightly less relaxed atmosphere of my classroom, one of my students drew the picture below:


Supposedly, that’s a picture of me holding the AP World History textbook. When McKenna visited one evening and asked about the picture, that’s what I told her. Her response was: “That isn’t you. That man is exercising.” I’m not sure if she meant that the picture didn’t look like me because the man was exercising or if McKenna was merely observing that the man was exercising as an aside after establishing that he was not me. Either way, she’s right.
