At the next summer stop, Rehoboth, Delaware, we were introduced to the word of the day.
How do you appropriately and quickly identify the coffee maker with the empty pot?
A. The one on the right
B. The crappy one
C. The one with the conical pot
D. The empty one
As it turns out, all are correct except C. C is never correct – NEVER! Geometric and mathematical terms should be avoided on vacation at all cost, no matter how appropriate they might be.
Clearly one would only use conical to describe that coffee pot if one was trying to enjoy a little schadenfreude.
