Fourth of July


I almost double-booked the 4th, but Laura reminded me of our traditional trip to Fredericksburg to see the fireworks. Wait – traditional? Doesn’t traditional mean something that has happened year after year? If you look at through the annals of this blog you will see no mention of this “traditional” trip. And this blog has great authority, at least as much authority as one of People magazine’s or VH1’s lists. You may see if you look back that through the blog, in fact, we have done everything except go to Fredericksburg to see fireworks. It’s, um, a new tradition!

This, at least, was a good tradition, not like our bad tradition of forgetting to get the gutters cleaned until saplings sprout. The fireworks were excellent, and they were highlighted by the commentary of Laura, Gayle, and Rita (seen below).
